Attractions in Cornwall
For sheer diversity of landscape this part of the North Cornwall coast is hard to beat. Rocky headlands, sandy surfing beaches, enormous sand dunes, wooded creeks and a notable tidal estuary where countless wading birds feed, are all found in this relatively small area.
No part of Cornwall is more than an hour's drive from the hotel, and with such a range of beautiful scenery, historic houses, gardens and antiquities from which to choose.

The Eden Project
More than just a green theme park, then? Eden is about connecting plants, people and places. The Eden Project is a living demonstration of regeneration and aims to reconnect people with their environments locally and globally.
They don't have all the answers, they don't want to tell others what to think; what they do is invite people to explore their world afresh.

The Lost Gardens of Heligan
Heligan, seat of the Tremayne family for more than 400 years, is one of the most mysterious estates in England. At the end of the nineteenth century its thousand acres were at their zenith, but only a few years later bramble and ivy were already drawing a green veil over this 'Sleeping Beauty'. After decades of neglect, the devastating hurricane of 1990 should have consigned the Lost Gardens of Heligan to a footnote in history.
Instead, 'Events conspired to bring us here and the romance of their decay took a hold on our imaginations'.

The Tate St. Ives
The Gallery occupies a spectacular site overlooking Porthmeor Beach close to the home of Alfred Wallis and to the studios used by many of the artists whose works are exhibited. It is designed to show works of art in the surroundings and atmosphere in which they were created.
The architects, Eldred Evans and David Shalev, were selected in a national architectural competition held in 1990. Designers of the award-winning Truro Law Courts, their plans for Tate St Ives were commended by both the Royal Fine Art Commission and by English Heritage.
